Opinion: The Adjustments of Bannister
By Matthew Cerrone - Apr 11, 2006 11:00 am

Baseball is a game of adjustments.  Players and coaches, even writers and fans, must all make adjustments to tackle the game’s ever changing nuances…

In a few hours, Mets RHP Brian Bannister will take on the Nationals for the second time in six days.  Meaning his multi-speed change-up is fresh in Washington’s mind.  In turn, any weaknesses in the swings of each Nationals player is fresh in the mind of Bannister…

Will the Nationals adjust to Bannister, comfortable with what he will throw, or will Bannister adjust, exploiting new holes in thier lineup?…

We’ve been told over and over again how smart Bannister is, and how crafty he can be on the mound.  This afternoon, we’ll certainly find out if this is the case…

Good luck, Brian…
