In his last two starts against the Astros, Martinez is 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 17 innings.
…from what i understand, pedro will be on a similar pitch count as he was in h is first start…

…enjoy…and as always, let’s go mets…
I dunno about giving our MVP the day off on the day of Pedro’s Shea return. I understand Braves and Phillies series are coming up, but couldn’t Willie have rested him next week instead? Don’t like this at all…
Nice to see the MVP get a day off. Lets get this win for Pedro and to keep dropping that magic number!
Lets go Pedro!!
Lets go Pedro! Come on Kid
Nice decision by Willie to give Wright a breather today, before the series against NL East Rivals.
It should be loud. I wouldn’t have minded seeing Gotay in the 3 spot, leaving Beltran batting cleanup
Shea will be rocking!
First Pedro has a three strikout inning (too bad about that fourth one), then he has a double which ends up with him scoring a run. I’m liking it.
I think Pedro is happy to be back at Shea right now
pedro is the man.
Where is everyone? Is this working today?
5 IP, 92 pitches and nice job by willie to leave him in finish the inning..85-88 fastball and a good changeup, even hit 92 on one
thats about the best you can ask for his 2nd start back id say
note to Omar: Leave Mota off of the Playoff roster
Seems like the site still has some moderation issues. At least now I can find out that my messages are awaiting moderation.
Still, I’m liking this game so far. At least until Mota started going completely wild two minutes ago. That strikeout turned my heartrate down a notch.
The Astros offense is soooo bad.
Man, Jose.
:(
I take back what I said about David Wright being MVP. Pedro is gonna shock everybody and win the award just for the swagger he gives this team!
Pedro is good to go.
great win in every wayyyy
Good to see Wagner getting back on track.
Now lets get rid of the Braves and Phillies this week.
Go Big Blue!
pedro is back: beats oswalt and harang who were both having big seasons. his change looked great. good movement on the fastball though the velocity hasn’t been great yet.
beltran: leads the team in hr and rbi despite missing 20 games. very nice from a gold-glove centerfielder. nice tough w/o batting gloves today
good call leaving pedro in their for the win, willie.
time to set the team up for the playoffs and homefield advantage
