I've been killin the team all season for being soft. Couldn't even enjoy the Turner Field Turnaround, after what had happened in Philly. Hopefully this next week will, put away the doubts I've had about the makeup of this team.

They're almost at full strength, time to get all the pistons firing.

They should be fine, but the probability of a let down probably is inversely proportianal to the size of the lead!

So, if they scuffle a bit agains P&A, then expect them to take it our the bottom feeders to put the division away.

But, if they wipe out the Phils 9the braves frankly are hardly a factor), they may coast a bit.

keep in mind that the Phils have a ton of games against the same patsies, so it is not inconceivable that they could reel off quite a few wins.

For this reason, pushing the lead to 7-8 would be real nice. A 4 game lead could require the mets to actually win a lot of games.

Sure, they can and should, but it would be nice not to have to. Plus, it will require working the key guys harder (as opposed to getting them some rest).

I think they're gonna be fine in these two series. What I'm equally interested in is how they handle the last 12 vs the also-rans (can't put STL in that catagory yet). Will there be a drop of intensity, since they're not playing the Big Boys, or will they chew em up and spit em out (as they should)? I think 8-4 is a nice, round expectation.
