Does anyone know which games the plan holders get? I have a Saturday plan. Last year I called around now and they were able to tell me which games (NLDS game 1 last season) I’d be getting so that I knew which other games I could try to get via the lottery or other methods. Has anyone heard which playoff games the Saturday plans are being given this season?
i called earlier and they told me they cant tell what tix but we’d receive them at the end of the month (i’m sunday holder)
Makes no sense. They know which games by now, you’d think they’d tell us so people don’t double up on games and have tickets going to waste. Then again, I guess they don’t care as long as the tix are paid for.

off topic but why is only the al team with the best record allowed to choose if they can play 5 games in 8 days or 5 games in 7 days, why not the al and nl thats BS

Both NL series last the same amount of days. Next year it will be the NL’s turn and the AL series will last the same time
Hopefully i get the good email not that crappy one saying sorry but we had to sell the tickets to suits that belong at yankee stadium not shea that aren’t even real fans. Biggest mistake was last year sat in the loge box for game 2 of the NLDS and the people around us kept on telling us to sit down they can’t see. If I get picked I’m getting upper reserved sitting with the real Mets fans

same here…..Mets suck! 2 yrs in a row I signed up everyone in my family (5 emails) and 2 yrs in a row I get rejected.
Its rigged. Its fixed. Just kidding. Congrats to the winners. I do disagree however with this system. You know scalpers who dont give a damn about the Mets are registering like mcrazy and have no intentions of going to the games. They will rip off some die hard Mets fan. Cant the Mets give opportunities to those fans who bought some single games during the regular season a chance after season ticket or plan holders instead of opening it up to non Mets fans?

I agree I dont buy the plans bc its hard with school and work to get all the dates, but I’ve gone to prob 10 games using the website so they have all of the info, they should see that and give us the chance to get at least 2 tickets

I don’t understand why they can not just set up a date and have people sit outside and buy tickets. They still sell the tickets and the people who really want to be at the games will have the chance to get tickets. At least release some that way it would be nice instead of this lottery where scalpers are easily entering 100 emails or so and then resell for 10x the value and since more diehearts will want tix they’ll have more chances to win

This is why we all need to register as many times as possible and get the tickets dispersed among us. We can profit a little off each other, but wouldn’t everyone prefer if real met fans were there?
I actually won the lottery last year to the NLCS. You win the “opportunity” to purchase online.
They give you a date/time when you can purchase. You select which dates you prefer, and its first come, first served.
I had to log in at 12 noon one day about 2 wks before the game I think. I got 2 tix to game #2 (the infamous Mota game).
But scalpers pay kids to sleep out for 2-3 days to get all the tickets…that’s the problem.
Well hopefully nobody here goes and sells for 10x what they are worth on ebay…there are plenty of people around who will buy the tickets if you can’t go. Let’s keep it in the family guys.

Is it difficult to get these tix if you won the lottery thing?
Well, the plan holder and 7 pack holders already bought, so you get whatever is left.
i like the lottery system. as much as i understand the positive part about spending a ridiculous amount of time standing in line at the box office (and i honestly do), i live in chicago, and even though i’m enough of a fan that i spent several hundred dollars flying to NY last october — twice — it isn’t possible for me to physically be there, and is it really fair to deny some people tickets because they have a slower internet connection in an online-only sale? so, i like that everyone gets an opportunity to go to the games for the team they love, even if they can’t be there for the ticket on-sale.
that being said, no winning for me this year. hopefully i’ll get something in a later round. i think for last year’s NLDS i got tix in the second lottery drawing a day or two after the on-sale.

last year I paid $100 a piece for 4 tickets in the upper deck third to last row. IT WAS GREAT!!!! Those wher eth ereal fans. I was at the LoDuca game and we had fun, yelling and screaming and tallking basbeall, it was awsome!!! There is no better place to be than upper deck, during a playoff game. That where the real mets fans are. I didnt win the lottery last season, I did WIN this year !!!! LETS GO METS !!!!

…… game 7 NLCS …. the people next to me were very nice and did cheer , jump out of their seats, etc during the whole the game, one of them mentioned they won the 4 tixx in lottery system … Molina homer, and these guys get up and leave at the end of the inning …

To all the people who complain about the lottery, What are your suggestions for a better system? I’ve done it both ways, I used to be out there at shea in January/febuary at 4am in the freezing cold waiting to get my tickets, even being there that early, most of the games i wanted were sold out by the time i got up there, same thing happens for Post Season.
The lottery, i was selected for both NLCS and NLDS tickets last year.
Random is the only fair way to do it, and i hope they do it for opening day CitiField tickets, if it’s not a random computer draw, then it will be nobody but scalpers getting tickets. plain and simple.
My only other suggestion (which i made to MLB last year for Mets/Sox tickets at Fenway, after getting shoved into the online waiting room, and failing to get tickets for 6 hours, and finally ending up with just Standing Room Only, while i watched all the good tickets go up on StubHub all day long) The suggestion was, Guarenteed Attendance TIckets, set aside X number of tickets for each game, that are guarenteed attendance, you must provide name and positive ID for the tickets, and when you show up at the gate, if the name on that ticket doesn’t match the ID, you don’t get in, prevents scalping, and makes sure the Real fans get in to see the games.
Course it also means you can’t sell those tickets if you for some reason can’t go to the game, but I never said it was a perfect soluition.
I’m embarrassed to admit that one of my very best friends left one batter before The Catch because she got cold. Her boyfriend is a wall streeter, and on the spur of the moment stubhubbed 10th row seats behind the cardinals dugout. Neither are huge baseball fans. I was in the upper deck with three friends who are actual Mets fans, so we got to feel the concrete shaking. I fear that in the new, smaller park, the wall streeters and their girlfriends will be up there with us. Sigh.
If they aren’t real fans, keep them out…this is the reason I much rather sit in the Upper Deck than Field Level.

This may be a dumb question, but what do they do with the bleacher seats during the playoffs?
guaranteed attendance measures are used in big soccer tourneys in europe (Champions League, Euro Cup etc) it has worked well in my limited experience, use your passport to validate your identity, ticket pick up the day of the game etc.
Really? i wasn’t aware that they were actually used anywhere, I actually got a very nice reply from Red Sox ticketing after i complained. but no offer of better seats.
But that was ok, cause it turns out that SRO at Fenway are still pretty good views, and after the 3rd inning, the 5 seats in front of us were empty so we grabbed them,
But i’m all for Guarenteed Attendance tickets, It makes sure that the REAL fans get to see the games.
