You are correct when you said the result of the pitch directly after the 0-1 count. When he is sitting on the 0-1 pitch, those are his stats when getting pitch 2.

Can you clarify "during an 0-1 count": Does this mean that if the count reaches 0-1 at any point in the at bat, or are these the results of the pitch directly after an 0-1 count?

Actually, Mike got the stats wrong.

DW is .348/.602/.758 with 7 HR, 16 RBI and 42 BB in 108 PAs this year. Still damn good production. The 16 HR and 42 RBI sounded way too high for one season's worth of full counts. That would mean DW would get to a full-count every third Plate Apperance, which would be a ridiculous number of pitches seen over the course of the season.

Last year he hit .289 with an 0-2 count and had only 39 at bats with an 0-2 count for the whole year (compared to 45 already this year). Also, last year he hit .310 after the count was 0-2 (meaning on an 0-2 count and on 1-2, 2-2, and 3-2 counts which started off as an 0-2 count) and is only hitting .178 this year. It's amazing he is having as good a year as he is considering these stats. You can find these stats on his player page on yahoo under situation stats.

I really hope scouts from other teams look at that stat and decide to groove more pitches to Wright early in the count. Go ahead and challenge him. Good luck.
