This was the same feeling after the 4 game sweep in Philly that cut the lead down to 2.5 (the same as it is now). At that time, Maine stopped the bleeding with that win against Atlanta. Maine is pitching tomorrow. What will happen…..

if anything, that cards-phils game was a reminder that the phillies are an atrocious team pitching-wise (when they’re not playing the mets) and are downright comical when it comes to losing games in heartbreaking fashion

they escaped that one…but the mets really just need to play like an average or even slightly subpar baseball team to ride out this division, and we all know that at the very least they can do this…because god knows the phillies won’t be forcing the mets to rattle off 11 of their next 14 to win this thing.
