this team has needed the hammer for sometime now

and willie just can’t deliver it

and i am not talking about overt emotional outbreaks thought that might not be all that bad

i am talking about sitting your fanny on the bench if you don’t make the changes that you need to make to get this team to win

reyes has become a freaking head case and should have been reeled in by now

but i think willie is a big part of the problem

the strategic mistakes he makes aside

this whole the season is long things will even out

well what scares me is the mets were playing almost .700 against sub .500 teams

if all things even out we are dead

well someone had to impress upon them that there approach to hitting had to change

Looks like the only way we’re going to get that magic number down is to rely on 11 straight losses from Philadelphia because the Mets are just looking for a way to lose each and every game. Yeah, they scored eight runs, but it’s a tag-team effort. One night the pitching staff blows it, the other night we get baffled by the Nats and Phillies #4 starters like they’re throwing some kind of Wakefield knuckleball, and then of course who can forget the ten errors in two games. Maybe the fantasy football thing IS really affecting these guys. (Is that just a rumor floating around? Or is it actually true? Cause it’s really starting to eat at me if it’s true!) Way to go Willie looks like you really put the fear of God in these guys! Great laid back leadership! Pushover!

psychologically, I agree. Strategically, I’m inclined to agree. I dont know what it means to manage “skill wise.”
