See: Mets Division Champs T-Shirt
By Mike Nichols - Sep 24, 2007 11:56 am

…looks as if Major League Baseball may be a bit premature in making the Mets 2007 National League East Division Champions available for sale on their MLB.com Shop

…uh, does MLB know it was the Indians and Angels that clinched their division this week and not the Mets

…either they feel the Mets are a lock to win the division, or they are putting the kibosh on the Mets

 …no whammies, no whammies…

…well, get them while you can, i guess…

Not only are the sweet, but they are one of the few things on that site reasonably priced. But I’m not touching it until the Magic Number is 0. Theres definitely bad luck in buying one of those early.

I’m not sure a $25.00 t-shirt is reasonably prices, but I agree that the design is much nicer than last year’s. I also agree that I will stay well away from that until we’re at 0.

      To Quote Matt Cerrone….

      Wow….just wow.

My 2006 NL Eastern Division Champions shirt is gracing the outside of my bedroom closet door, decorating the room, and I have been dying to add a 2007 version to the other closet door. However, there is no way I will buy it until they have clinched, for that would be very bad juju.

      LET’S GO METS!!!!!!!!!!

Thought this would be a good thread to share:

After getting an e-mail last week that I was NOT selected to buy NLDS tickets, I got a second one this morning saying I was eligible. So I just nabbed 4 game two tix in mezzanine reserved (knock on wood). So all you fans who got “nos” last week should stay glued to your e-mail because they’re obviously a second drawing.

Meanwhile, for those who remember my drama with playoff tix last year, I am NOT selling them this year because I will worm my way out of work no matter what.

I also got chosen second time through! Trying to figure out which game I want!

it looks like the best seats still left are for home game 3 (obviously, but really–much much better than when i was reloading like crazy for HG 1 or 2)

  5. DjDeF says:

I got selected as well. I picked up the first game got Row A in the UR. I am awaiting the arrival of my package Postseason tix so worse comes to worse I will sell some tix if I have doubles

Sure, the “locker room” shirts and hats have to be manufactured ahead of time. I get that. But still . . . to have them on the website already . . . this smacks of “Congratulations Red Sox, 1986 World Champions” on the scoreboard at Shea, doesn’t it? Just a little?

  7. njguy7676 says:

What are the odds we have homefield in the first round?

  8. NYsMaineMan says:

Seriously, the lottery has made it a 2nd time through? Wow, congrats on getting your tickets guys, that’s good.

  9. NYsMaineMan says:

Please, let’s NOT mention the playoffs until it’s official…last time the media started outlining our playoff rotation, we gave up 6 games in a week in the standings. Not done yet, especially with the way our pen has been pitching! Let’s step it up this week boys!

Sigh. Of course the women’s one looks completely poorly shaped.

NO JINXING MLB, but I will peek at the kids option. Only peek.

Now, we gotta make these shirts a reality….simple as that!

Start tonight….make that Magic Number 4 with a W and we will be in pretty good shape. Make it a 3 game lead!

I need to get one of these regardless, As i already own a nice 1999 NLCS Champion NY Mets & 2000 World Series Champion Mets sweatshirts…

  13. Number41 says:

Mets should wear sky blue and yellow uni’s the rest of the way….

I don’t understand why anyone would want to buy a Division Champs shirt.

Either they go on to win the NL and/or WS and this shirt is passé or they lose in any of the playoff rounds and all you have is a NL East t-shirt commemorating a disappointing season.

World Series champs or nothing for me.

Besides, these shirts will be marked down as soon as the Mets advance or if they lose.
