By Matthew Cerrone - Sep 28, 2007 9:56 am

By the way, before yesterday’s game, Marlon Anderson was suspended for two games, due to arguing with home-plate umpire Dan Iassogna on September. 15, during which he flung his helmet, which hit Phillies C Chris Coste.

what a joke. that pitch was a foot and a half outside and he wasnt trying to hit coste. it seems like all the umpires have chips on their shoulders and have to prove on a day in and day out basis that they have the power. what a joke.

So, If he didn’t appeal he would be playing tonight and tomorrow. UNF***INGBELIEVABLE!!!

  3. One Day This Team Will Kill Me says:

Marlon appealing this suspension has the mets shorthanded at the absolute worst time, we need his bat on the bench to come up with a big hit, and now we cant go to him when our season is on the line. I agree that it is unfair, but it should all be over and done with already

Wait a sec…did he serve the 1st game last night?

  5. Stems says:

    Total BS…

Umps really need some serious training for all the bad calls and major discipline for their on field behavior… half the time they are looking for a fight…
