Back in 2000, Derek Bell and Lenny Harris tied for the team lead in stolen bases, with 8!! Can you even imagine that? Even Shawn Green had more stolen bases than that this year, as did Luis Castillo in just 2 months. The whole team combined for 64 steals, or 14 less than Jose Reyes by himself this year. I mean, I remember that team being slow, but jeez. The Phillies are very far from a great team. They were a game better than the Mets, but that's all they were: a game better than a decent team. Last year, the Mets were a very good team, winning 97 games. 89 wins is not great, or even very good. It is merely good.
