as happy as we all are that the phillies got swept away we cant really brag about it to them since theyll always have the "you choked to division away" argument. lets just all enjoy the fact that the rockies have eased the pain a little for all of us.

I am torn on Glavine.

He cannot come back for the karma of the team and the fanbase. But, as others have mentioned....how do you replace the 200 innings? We already have a rotation that doesn't eat innings and anb overworked pen. Now, we'll need a bona fide ace AND a 2-3 spot in rotation innings eater.

...And are leaderless, like the Mets with Willie.

Sigh. I am letting it go.. i am trying so hard. But, my God, the D'backs and Rox in the LCS? What a waste of a season we had.

They don't play the games on paper. The only thing that matters is how you play the game. Not the talent level. Especially when some players get "bored" with all their talent.

Well Holliday, Tulowitzki and Helton are better than good. Atkins and Hawpe are good.

Rockies have a solid bullpen - better than the Mets.

...lets see yours. dont be a dick

I dont know that there is one for the Mets without some young pitching coming to the front. Maybe in a couple years when Parnell and Guerra are ready.

I think taking what he's done above and add that with the signing of a couple good relievers they can get closer to 90-95 wins.

Or keep Heilman and add another quality starter, but that sounds a lot like what they did last offseason. Its not going to be easy for Omar, because its more about chemistry when you're talking about the difference between 90 and 95 win teams.
