I always liked Rusch (probably because in one of my baseball video games back when he was with the Mets I somehow got 20 wins and a Cy Young Award out of him….talk about realism), but I have no real desire to see him back at Shea, unless it’s in 13 years celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the 2000 team.

yes, when did the “gotta tip your hat to them” become such a sports cliche? David Wright says it all the time as does Cerrone. It’s stupid. How many times has anyone actually seen someone tip their hat at someone for doing something good when their on the wrong end of it? I did’t see Beltran tip his hat to Waingwright (or whoever it was) after he got caught looking at strike 3 to end the 2006 NLCS. I am sure afterward, several Mets said “all we can do is tip our hat to them and move on”
