Yeah, me too.

I really hope we decide to go in another direction. Towards the end of the season, I was happy when I saw Ramon Castro in the lineup. That has to mean something.

The fact is, the positions that A-rod takes are already filled. Minaya isn't going to spen $200 Million at least to get a player at a position that is already filled. Not to mention that A-Rod hates NY.

The Dodgers have the money and the need to sign a big bat and a 3B. They're going to get a-rod.

As for Lo Duca, great. Posada is going back to the Yankees, and there are no other good catchers available via trade or free agency.

Omar, if you so happen to be reading this comment on this blog, trade Milledge for Blanton, sign Fukudome, Castillo, Castro, Lo Duca and Romero, and get rid of Mota and Show.

alou, easley, probably lo duca and castillo. we're rebuilding the 2007 team that played under .500 for the last four months of the season. the braves and phillies are currently better than the mets, guys.

where is the upgrade coming in? tom glavine's starting spot? i know it seems awful but you're really not gonna do much better than glavine without getting somebody top of the line, and we don't have the farm system for that. blanton, lowry, silva- these guys are not major upgrades over tom glavine.

outside right field our team is only getting older. where's the improvement? winning in '08 is an awful lot to ask of milledge and duaner sanchez. i know there's plenty of time for moves to be made, but we don't have the talent to make a move for a big time pitcher and we're locking up left field, second base and catcher with fragile old guys that have been on the decline for years.

we sure as hell don't have any minor league talent anybody wants. it just doesn't make sense for any of the top of the line pitchers to come to the mets right now.
our greatest resource is money. i hate a-rod right now but i'm probably only 50 bombs away from being ready to retire his number. gimmie a reason to be optimistic, omar.
