well, at least some teams are doing something
Yeah, trading for a guy that hit 5 HRs last year.
The Mets should have acquired Chris Capuano for Mota and Muniz already as a pre-cursor to signing Prior. That way it could be full steam forward to finding a third team trading partner in order to acquire Johan Santana using the chips from the third team that we get for John Maine and pairing that with Carlos Gomez and Deolis Guerra for Johan. At which point it’s all about focusing on bringing back players, upgrading the bullpen HARD, and trading for up and coming talented youth as part of the core, but can serve as depth in the mean time like Taylor Teagarden.
Dude shouldn’t you be off playing Guitar Hero or something instead of posting this here?
You remind me of Russel Crowe in “A Beautiful Mind” when hes off his meds
I remind you of Russel Crowe? Why is that, because you’re attracted to me? Sorry Mary…I’m not into dudes.
I’m not quite sure what some people want. There have been, what, two trades since the season ended. Trades aren’t going to start happening until at least the winter meetings. 26 teams haven’t done anything, why should the Mets be ot there making trades without seeing the mood of things. Also, you need two teams to make a trade, except in Met Genius’ world, where you need something like 9 teams.
Yeah, no need to be trigger-happy. C’mon, now that we can get a bit of perspective on this past season, if Duaner was healthy they could have let Mota go, and if Joe Smith or Burgos gave us healthy years Sele would have been gone, too. I gotta believe that would have been at least a 5 game difference right there. Get Linebrink, Cordero and/or Rauch for the pen, and Haren & Silva for the rotation and the pitching will be fine. Resign Duke and Castillo and the offense should be fine. The pen blowing games left and right can take the wind out of any offense’s sails. In Omar (Alou, Easley,Marlon) we need to trust!
You’re a loser Dave, and I know that by the players you want. They’re losers, and for some odd reason you want losers on the Mets. Maybe that’s how you identify with them, but that’s not fair to every other Mets fan out there who isn’t A LOSER DAVE!! WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN DAVE!?? HUH?!? HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THE CHILDREN INSTEAD OF YOUR LOSER WANTS!? Just because you hate children Dave doesn’t mean the Mets will satiate your losing cravings. Those days are long gone Dave. No more loser players for losers like you. If you don’t like that you can ride Marty Noble bareback all the way to the Bronx because that’s the new loser haven. You’re in luck, they’ve always hated children too.
On a semi-related note; is it any coincidence that the yankays have had deaths related to the organization the last two years they’ve been eliminated from the play-offs in the first round? I think not. First it was Cory Lidle in 2006 who had NO communication with any air traffic controllers whose plane was flown into a wall. Then in 2007 Oscar Acosta who managed the yankays Gulf Coast team, and as a pitching coach for Columbus along with Humberto Trejo another yankay official were found dead after a mysterious car crash. It’s obvious the Devil worshipping yankays are killing people, and making it look like accidents after they don’t make it past the first round of the play-offs and spend over 200 million dollars on payroll alone. That’s probably why Torre wanted out so bad, he ran away 3000 miles from his home to take less money, and manage a less talented team. Why would someone do that for? I guess some things are more important than money…like safety.
I wonder who’s gonna get the ax so to speak after this year’s failures. Posada’s mortal enemy is the manager….Cano and Melky are gonna be sad with out their Alice to latch onto….The sight of Giambi’s tumor ridden, greasy, hairy mishapen body in the locker room alone is enough to incite vomit on sight. The team is doomed…and unfortunately it appears as if so is someone else in the organization. I wonder how and who does the killing? I bet it’s ritualistic with several key members tasting the innards of their prey….disgusting….DAVE!! Disgusting.
Mota and Muniz for Capuano as a two team trade works just fine thank you…
Mota. I assume Mets eat his contract and pay for rehab?
