According to Baseball America, the Mets have signed minor-league, free-agent RHP Joselo Diaz.
…yes, his name should sound familiar to you, since he’s the other guy who went with Scott Kazmir in the tampa bay deal…

Tampa GM: Huh?
Duquette: Yea, what do you think about that? We think Scott is gonna develop into a star major league player in a couple of years.
Tampa GM: I Love It! Do we have a deal?
Duquette: Wait a minute… your not getting off that easy…
Tampa GM: Uh oh…
Duquette: Were gonna want another guy in this deal.

Duquette: I think Bartolome Fortunado is the missing piece in this deal.
Tampa GM: (to himself) oh, thank god!

Tampa GM: (to himself) Who?
Duquette: …for Zambrano and Fortunado?
Tampa GM: (trying not to burst out laughing) Well we are giving up a lot for just a couple of minor leaguers, but I think we can make that deal work. So, do we have a deal?
