…by the way, David Wright sent in the following comment, via the team’s media department, about the white, tight, knit-cap he was sporting indoors and on-air last night during SNY’s Mets Hot Stove Report…
“I had the hat with me in my pocket and put it on at the hospital when I saw the kids with theirs on.”
…and so, he left it on when he got to SNY, which is very cool…
Earlier in the day, Wright spent time visiting with cancer patients at NYU Medical Center.
…and with that, i’m leaving this topic alone, because, frankly, i’m shocked at, and sort of embarassed about, how many people wanted to know about this…so, there you go, now, back to the Hot Stove…
By the way, The David Wright Foundation will be holding their third-annual Do the Right Thing Gala in New York City at the Hard Rock, tomorrow night, Thursday, November 15.

“frankly, i’m shocked at, and sort of embarassed about, how many people wanted to know about this”
Matt, out of all the lamebrained and moronic things that get posted/asked/screamed on your site, this curiosity is what embarrases you?
At the same time, the fact that he sent you a comment shows that he does pay attention to this site, so thats cool
The most salient points are always glossed over!
I don’t get it. What’s the big deal about the hat?
Could you ask him where he got it? Cuz, quite frankly, I want one. ;)
The cap looked ridiculous, but in retrospect it totally makes sense. Bad job by the SNY guys for not joshing him about it on air and giving him a chance to explain why he was wearing it.
