I think the thought that comes to my mind with this move is that I would feel a lot better about it if this was setting up a lefty/ righty catcher platoon. I like the idea of saving the draft pick, but I have to wonder wether there are many other benefits to this pairing. It seems like two quality back up catchers sharing time.
