It basically states that the negotiations are in quite advanced stages, and that pretty much the only thing pending is some monetary discussions between MLB and the Marlins. As for the date, the piece states that no specific weekend is set, but that it would be one of the three weekends the Marlins play as “home team” against the Mets – that is April 1 thru April 3 (opening weekend), July 28-30 and August 29-31. The local promoter is pushing for opening weekend, but would also consider the other two dates.
