They should have plenty of decent guys competing in ST.  Incumbants, rehabs (Sanchez), young bucks (Kunz, that USC guy), starters without a home (Humber, Pelf, El Duque).

Sure, pick up someone good if they can, otherwise sift through what they have, and try to grab a live  arm off the waiver wire.</description>

		<description>while this isnt a deal the Mets could have made (it likely would have taken two years to get him away from Boston) it is a little alarming how little they have done with the pen.  They dont seem to have an interest in any of the free agents out there.  

Last offseason Omar concentrated on about 20 starters, ended up with none of them, and then all that was left in the pen was Schoeneweis.  Looks like the same thing is happening again this offseason.</description>
