Buzz: Kuroda could Pounce on 4-yr Deal
According to MLB.com, free-agent Japanese RHP Hiroki Kuroda could sign with the first team to offer him a four-year deal.
Street writes that the Mariners, Mets, Dodgers and D’Backs are all offering him three years and $30 million.
According to a recent report from Yahoo! Japan, Kuroda is believed to be seeking a four-year, $45 million contract.
Earlier today, in an article for the New York Post, citing ‘one person with knowledge of the team’s thinking,’ Mark Hale reported that the Mets have ‘legitimate interest’ Kuroda, who is drawing interest from eight to 10 teams.
According to Hale’s report, the Mets advanced to Round 2 of the bidding process.’
