Nady would be such a good pickup if we could get him cheap. Between playing right, left and first he would get plenty of playing time. The mets are not overloaded with outfielders. The three starters and Endy. If Gomez is playing in our outfield before the rosters expand in september, something has gone seriously wrong. Nady would be a great compliment to Church and can sub for Delgado to keep him rested, and we won't be completely vulnerable to left-handed pitching again when Alou is on the DL for his usual 50-70 games this year. Dealing with the Pirates for Nady/Snell, if he really is available, would be about as good as we can do. Our "prospects" just aren't generating any interest, and there's too many teams that can outbid us with talent for big pitchers. Forget Guillen.
