According to CNBC, Former-Mets OF Lenny Dykstra will soon publish a magazine called The
Players Club, ‘a magazine by and for professional athletes that will provide the resources to make well-informed financial and lifestyle decisions.’
…man, talk about your niche markets…
In his time since retiring from baseball in 1996, Dykstra has created a successful car-wash franchise, and writes a stock-picking column for Jim Cramer’s TheStreet.com.
Speaking of former Mets catchers, on Newsday.com, Jim Baumbach catches up with Mackey Sasser, who will live in infamy among Mets fans for his inability to release the baseball when trying to throw to second or back to the mound.

Sure would be nice to have Nails in the lineup again
He should write a book about Roids… something else he knows about
Testing Testing… I tried posting a couple of times before and it wouldn’t let me.
Got it. I don’t it liked me insulting Dykstra :-)
I’ve read his columns on TheStreet.com and the guy is a complete shmoe. All he talks about is leveraging using options and the reasons he gives for liking or disliking a stock are completely ridiculous. He would do poorly on that show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader”.
Funny comming from a guy who as a player had a gambling problem…
Much as I loved Lenny as a ballplayer, I hope no young athletes are turning to him for financial planning strategies.
Hmm… that story is dated 1/10/07.
I wonder if he has gotten 4 or 5 subscribers since then
