Do you feel cheated? I do.

Check out these box scores from the 2000 WS...

http://www.baseball-almanac.com/ws/yr2000ws.shtml

Game 1, Yankees win 4-3. Pettitte starts, and Stanton gets the W. Knobloch scored a run and had a RBI. Justice went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI. TAINTED VICTORY!

Game 2, Yankees win 6-5 Clemens gets the W. He 2 hit the Mets for 8 striking out 9 with his steroids enhanced arm while going all roids rage on Piazza when he threw the broken bat. Justice scores a run. TAINTED VICTORY!

Game 3, Mets Win 4-2! WHOOOO HOOO... luck prevails over a stacked deck! Justice has a hit and a RBI, Knobloch has a hit. Stanton pitches 2/3 on an inning striking out a batter with his steroids enhanced arm.

Game 4, Yankees win 3-2. Neagle starts, and Stanton gets the hold striking out 2 in 2/3. TAINTED VICTORY!

Game 5, Yankees win 4-2 and take the series in 5. Pettitte starts, goes 7 striking out 5. Stanton gets the W pitching a perfect inning striking out 1. Justice had a hit. TAINTED VICTORY!

Observations: A juiced Yankees starter pitched 4 of 5 games. The Yankees won those 4 games and and lost the only game a juiced pitched didn't start (El Duque). Juiced Yankees pitchers and batters played in every game compiling the following stat line: Wins - 3, Holds - 1, Losses - 0, IP - 30.2, SO - 28 / AB - 28, H - 3, R - 2, RBI - 4.

In each game of the WS, the score was very tight. The average margin of victory was 1.4 runs. Clearly, these juiced players had a major impact on the outcome of the World Series in addition to the major impacts these players had on the preceding regular season and ALDS/ ALCS.

Should the Mets feel cheated? Do I? HELL YEAH! Bet the Sox do too…

Pettite and Stanton didn't take roids until after 2000.........though it's still fun to think that every game the yankees won was started by a pitcher in the report

DontHitGirlsHead ...your whole team was basically disgraced today, so you come on Metsblog to defend yourself, and you are calling US sad and embrarrasing? That's priceless, not to mention pathetic.

You're forgetting that Roger Clemens, if inducted into the HOF, will probably go in with a Red Sox cap. The bulk of his career was with Boston.

As much as Boston fans hate him now because he's on the Yankees, they all regret Dan Duquette sending him to Toronto. He's one of their greatest pitchers.
