Ths kid is 23. I think there is no reason to devalue what we all thought he was to become just because he did not produce gaudy numbers at 22 in the bigs. He was rated amongst the top 5 players in the minors 2 years ago. He had a blistering level of success at all minor league stops and should develop more power as he ages and grows into his body. Why not think he can still become a force and an allstar?

he may not become albert pujols overnight or ever but he could easily have a career progression similar to Alex Rios if not our own Carlos Beltran.

Sorry, but the champagne catch phrase will never get tired. It's right up there with Art Howe's "We battled."

He is a better musician than Reyes though. God, did I just use the word musician? OK, let me give it quotes..."musician".

I knew there was something to it. Although, Tito's move was the "Flying Forearm" (can't figure out how to do the TM symbol. I know Tito is looking for a pay day), so maybe they got the next best thing to a "big splash"? (tm)

He can still land Mench because he is a FA. He can platoon with Church in RF.

I am sure you meant Meche, who received a 5 year 55 mil deal - Even though he performed well last year.. That is a big risk for a .500 pitcher
