This was the first season where they overcame it to make the playoffs instead of 'just missing' the wild card berth as they had down a few times recently. If Mets had won on season's last day, Phils would still have tied for the wild card lead, so they didn't need the Mets collapse to at least get to a game 163. Rollins phrased it poorly, I suppose, but LoDuca's quote that the Mets would dance at the end of the season may have been grammatically correct, and Wright's comment that the Mets would prove that talk is cheap and they'll do it on the field, or Wagner's or Randolph's comments that the Mets would win in the end were wrong factually. I'll take Rollins' errors over those.
