Gomez classified as depth? He should have been in AAA all season. Milledge was hurt right at the beginning of the season so Omar had plenty of time to pick up another player in case Milledge could not come back or was never the same after the injury. So having really one backup outfielder in AAA at the beginning of a season? I would say that is lacking depth.

HAHAHAHAHA YOU IDIOT. Errors are only counted if the ball should have been caught. So if Endy is running flat out to a ball very far away from him the scorer will see the play would not have been made under normal circumstances and not count it as an error. And if he does get there in time then he better make the play. It doesn’t help you much if you can get to a ball anywhere but not catch it or not be able to throw it in to stop an advancing runner.

Beltran: .280/.354/.496/.850

Wells: .281/.331/.478/.809

Wells has a *slight* advantage in AVG, but Beltran is above him in OBP, SLG, and OPS by a decent margin.

Still want Wells over Beltran? And Beltran is a better defender and has played in about the same amount of games per year than Wells.

Fielding Percentage hurts better defenders. Endy gets to a ton more balls than the average defender, giving him more chances to make errors. So while he may make more errors, it’s because he has a lot more chances.

It’s like saying Juan Pierre is a better base stealer than David Wright because he has more steals. Wright steals bases at a much better percentage. Pierre just takes off every time he gets on base.
