Jose Reyes, Heilman, and Humber and prospect for
Roberts and Bedard
Then sign Eckstein to replace Reyes.

Too bad Omar doesnt think outside the box.

I just like Roberts, and for some reason dislike .600 OPS Castillo. I realize we would have had to give up talent instead of $$ though. And 4 years?

Yeah, luis (knees and hips of an 80 yr old) castillo is our
guy! locked up until the 2012 season. again, good goin’
omar!–we know you were in a bind as there were no other
options out there, giles,eckstein,iguchi,roberts,maybe hudson and of course gotay, just to start. But whats 20mil
of wilpons money especially for a fellow dominicano?

You’re kidding, right ?? Bunt single = base hit

.300 avg = on base 3 of every 10 plate appearances

.360 obp with David Wright and Beltran hitting behind him = great run production

hopefully the knee surgery lends to more SB’s this season (and maybe even improved range ?!)
Do I think he’ll be a top shelf starter in 3-4 years…no, but we could do a lot worse
