Oh boy. For some strange reason I have a feeling that Mets management may take our Metsblog poll responses in consideration when deciding on possible moves to make.

Matt,

Are you able to post a summary or transcript? A lot of us cant watch imbedded video clips at work… Thanks!

Steve

Very Good Matty…

Johan in Orange in Blue would be a thing of beauty…

BSMITTYFDNY January 24, 2008 at 1:02 pm

This is great! Matt has used his venue as a means of letting Met management know how their fans feel. Now that they know 80% of us want the Johan deal will Omar get it done? I hope so.

You look good on there Matt! It’s the first time I’ve seen you on air on SNY. It’s kind of like seeing a heralded prospect make his debut…I feel proud. Well done!

SodaPopinski January 24, 2008 at 10:12 am

saw you on there last night

nearly snarfed my cheerios.

nice work.

Terry450545 January 24, 2008 at 10:13 am

you look like Paul Lo Duca

wannabegm January 24, 2008 at 10:21 am

You do! You could be his younger cousin. Except that you don’t move your head in a awkward fashion like Lo Duca does.
Great job!!!

Xavier22 January 24, 2008 at 10:50 am

He doesn’t have the psycho eyes either.

itsmetsforme January 24, 2008 at 1:01 pm

give him a few more years…

remaxajf January 24, 2008 at 10:29 am

Why, was he bumping an ump?

wannabegm January 24, 2008 at 10:37 am

that was good!

Terry450545 January 24, 2008 at 10:34 am

Lo Duca also closes his eyes alot when he is talking… he always struck me as kind of a stoner.

wannabegm January 24, 2008 at 10:39 am

Yeah, that’s true… He has these long blinks.

Hello Mr. Matt Lo Duca,

Great job yesterday on TV. Good to see SNY really giving you the recognition you deserve. It was weird hearing you talk and you didn’t sound like me.
However, i always felt that a TRUE finger on the pulse of the fans is what all management needs (not that management should always listen to the fans, but it’s necessary). That being said, I hope management was watching closely. Johan will put arsses in the seats!!!

Good point. The economist on Yahoo.com who estimated the Mets would greatly profit from acquiring Santana put the nail in the coffin.

Santana = 4,000,000 fans @ Shea = $$$$$$ (Wilpons’ favorite symbol)!

remaxajf January 24, 2008 at 11:16 am

Matt, stop deleting my comments. We are allowed to talk about Santana here, no? Being that Church may or not be involved in a deal now is relevant. Just because you are slow checking out the Boston Herald this morning, don’t punish the rest of us.

bigchart333 January 24, 2008 at 11:18 am

lol i just emailed matt that story as well…i wonder how much validity is in it? if you read the comments on mlb trade rumors there’s some funny points there..i wonder how people would feel on this site about maybe church and now pelfrey going…

Nice job Matt! Nice to see the Mets care about the “Fan Confidence Rating” at Metsblog. Keep up the good work!

Wow, 80% of you guys think we should grab our ankles for the Twins… wow.

In my estimation the Phillies are the most imposing question in our division and they’re 3 players from being scary on paper. They have no third baseman, their bullpen is questionable and they’re not sure is Victorino is enough at center.

We may or may not be better with Santana, but we’re already in the top three in the division and possibly on par or better than the Phillies with a bright future ahead with these young guys, I’m not sure he puts us over the top.

I like Santana, if we give up 4-5 kids for him plus a major leaguer- then pay him a jillion dollars, thats hard to take. Especially since the injury bug loves to visit us every year at the worst times.

I know the price goes up in free agency if he even becomes a free agent but I’m still shocked 80% of Metsblog readers think we should do this.

Nice to see SNY giving MetsBlog some airtime. I first heard of this site last season when they interviewed Matt in the stands during a game…..been here ever since.

Ed Q. January 24, 2008 at 2:52 pm

Matt, nice to see you on SNY although I watched the show and looked away so I must have missed this segment. Were you under some time rule to keep it under a minute? You had 2 minutes or more of material there and you managed to get it all out in 58 seconds.
