i love sid! he should definitely make up for the fact that you have no personality

    • totesalot says:

yoyo, watch your mouth. just because matt doesn’t want to have sex with you is no reason to badmouth him on his blog. in conclusion, check yourself before you wreck yourself.

    • shea_guevara says:

What would make up for you being a cowardly douchebag who takes anonymous swipes at someone who makes this site possible?

    • mateothelion says:

did it hurt your head when you fell off the bandwagon?

    • dykstraw says:

holy crap. i wish someone was taking random slaps at me online. matt, you’ve arrived!

      • kendychavez says:

holy hell, you guys defend matt the way he defends willie. let it go. not everybody has to like him

    • dannyguira says:

The Mets have also signed Nelson Figueroa to a minor league contract with a spring training invite. Figueroa I have seen personally and He is a cheaper and much better gamble than both Livan, and Lohse. Over at the Dominican Republic and in Mexico he has won the MVP award for both with an AMAZIN average of 1.66 K’s per inning with a filthy breaking ball that is comparable to that of Barry Zito, Jeff Suppan, and our recently traded Humber that leaves hitters off balance. I cant wait to see this guy start over with the Mets and prove that he is that Diamond in the rough Omar always finds.

  2. Hit The Weights Zeile says:

really nice to knock someone who provides us free of charge with information about the mets quicker and with more accuracy than the mainstream media.

  3. Come on Big guy, employ some tact.

    Hey Matt
Any way you could get a bug(listening device)into the negotiations? We would sure likt to know whats being discussed.

    • SevenTrain says:

According to Rosenthal, in an article posted at 9:55 am, the parties are still moving towards a deal:

“We’ve still got a ways to go, but we’re in a lot better position than we were a few days ago,” said a source close to the negotiations.

      • stickguy says:

Well, a few days ago the trade hadn’t gone down, or was just announced, so I hope they are in better shape!

        just get it done.

  5. CaseStreet says:

I’ll be listening Matt. Thanks for the great job. Just next time you wear a sweatshirt on TV, plz don’t tuck it in. It’s kind of distracting. Other than that, I think you’re great.

    • Saltzy23 says:

Way way way off topic but did anyone read Shermans article in the Post this morning. A. I think its comical that someone is predicting the details of a no hitter in February, but thats not besides the point. The Yankees are going to have 50 ‘Premium Seats’ in the new stadium that are gonna be $2,100 each face value….That is INCREDIBLE!!!!…Do the math….Thats $340,000 for one regular season of baseball and in the neighborhood of $500K with playoffs!!!….Jesus Christ….

Then again, if you can bring in $17,000,000 every season in additional revenue, before the playoffs you might was well…..

      • Saltzy23 says:

I meant to say thats besides the point….

      • THolderWright55 says:

SO if these seats are sold out for every game then they will generate $8,505,000?

        50 seats x $2100 each x 81 home games?

Am I correct here? Math was never my strong point.

If so, that’s a serious chunk of change just from ticket sales.

    • CaseStreet says:

Matt, I apologize. You should do and wear whatever you want as long as you keep providing us with all this great info. I’m a tool and wear women’s clothing.

  6. marvelousmarv says:

Anyone know how Sid is these days???

  7. yoyotime says:

sid is HIGH AS HELL, i love em

  8. bonatom says:

That’s great you will be on Gotham Radio… I wonder what you will have to talk about.

  9. stickguy says:

ON top of the radio gig, Metsblog had over 1,500 posts since 1:00 this afternoon.

  10. Gil the Pill says:

    Who cares we got Johan

  11. Gil the Pill says:

Isnt Sid the guy who was a crackhead?

  12. Gil the Pill says:

Isnt Sid the guy who was a total crackhead?

  13. Gary Coleman Is My Father says:

Don’t know if you guys knew this but apparently Turk Wendell saved the deal. Omar and Green burg got into quite a tussle, Omar got stabbed in the eye with a chopstick, while wrestling with Peter Greenburg about who has better shoes. Turk Wendell came in and did a quadruple back flip while wrestling with a bear. He soon caused an avalanche after his bite to the bears neck made the bear yelp with extreme pain. Turk rescued them with shark tooth and all and carried them (In mid-air might I add) to taco bell. They had the negotiations in the bathroom. I guess Omar won at battlesh*ts and they got him! God Bless You Turk! (BTW I could defiantly J it to this trade I seriously can and will)

  14. GravediggerHebner says:

Well, now that Johan’s signed we can get back to the really important issues such as the words “dinner” and “supper” and their appropriate and inappropriate usage.

  15. RAWR says:

Confidence poll as soon as possible.
