Santana gives him a legit answer, and he gives him the big OK. BUT YOU KNOW he will be bringing that up again down the road.... that is very funny.

I think he may have revealed something that he didn't intend to, which is that he's seen enough of Gotay and is not satisfied with him in that role and intends to use spring training to suss out who the backup will be. I believe Willie also said something along the lines of "the kid will really have to impress" to make the team. Just a theory. Can you imagine the look on Hank Steinbrenner's face when he was told the Johan Santana Press Conference at Shea with pictures of Citi Field was on the YES Network, the official network of champions. MBFOTSH and the radid mongrel are so negative when it comes to our team . Probably the only reason they were there was because of the carvings , shrimp and pate that was served. When they interviewed Jeffy did any one catch their statement about getting a break with Reyes contract last summer. Jeffy just shrugged it off. Then when they spoke to Omar and Willie they insisted about bringing last September------"oh the team has to be reminded of it" Listen to these two clowns and you will be reminded of it every day !!! The best was when they spoke to Willie and they alluded to Ruben Gotay, and MBFOTSH starts swinging and says the little lefty (I though he was talking about Alvin Jackson ) and Willie is clueless !! And then the coup de grace (as far as this Yankee Hater is concerned) is when MBFOTSH refers and compares Ryan Church to Paul O' Neill. If Willie was not dumbfounded and a little embarrased at that point he would have told Fatso where to go.
