Quote: The Ghost of Paul Lo Duca

by Matthew Cerrone on February 14th, 2008 at 8:11 am

In the Daily News, Adam Rubin recaps yesterday’s action from Tradition Field, including whether or not Shawn Green is retired; the state of Duaner Sanchez and Juan Padilla; and the not-so-steep learning curve for Brian Schneider, who understands that he is replacing Paul Lo Duca.

Schneider, on Lo Duca and the fans…

“The fans loved him here.  There’s no reason not to.  He’s got a lot of energy. He’s got a lot of fire.”

he shouldn’t be too concerned…seriously…i enjoyed cheering for lo duca as much as the next Mets fan, but at the end of the day, if schneider plays hard and the team wins, we’ll cheer for him too…coming off of last year, i sense that this season will be all about hard work, focus and wins, from the fan’s perspective…
