This comes from a guy that got excited over the Oliver Perez trade, so you know I was very pumped to see Johan. I am tired of the talk though, I would much rather be watching games. I do wish we had the WBC to watch because I get tired of spring training, but I do get excited about spring training just to see the high lights on sports center rather than just basketball……I dont care if the Hawks beat the Heat, just show me some baseball. All I think about is baseball with my college season underway, so I cannot wait until the days I can come home from practice and sprawl out on the couch and watch a game………I am glad to see Beltran with a big comment like that. I hope he backs it up……..

We’ve had plenty of start that we’ve gona crazy about. Johan is just the latest. Remember how crazy we went when Hernandez and Carter or Piazza joined the team?

We also were ecstatic about Bobby Bo, much to our eventual chagrin.

BTW, I heard breaking news on MLB radio today:

“Because the Mets are such an overwhelming favorite in the NL, MLB is cancelling the 2008 season and letting the Mets go the World Series without ever having to play a game.”

“This decision was prompted by hundreds of thousands of emails and phone calls to the MLB offices in NY by Met fans demanding that the Mets be declared default winners of the NL because they had managed to pull off a trade for Johan ‘Saint’ana.”

“”Since Mets fans are always right”, said baseball commissioner Bud -I turned a blind eye to Kirk Radomski in the Mets’ clubhouse- Selig, “we might as well just do what they want, because in the face of that, playing the games really doesn’t matter. If Mets fans say the Mets are going to win then it must be true, so there’s really no need to tire out the Mets players with the grind of a 162 game season.”

“Mets fans had also demanded that the Mets be declared winner of the 2008 World Series, and there was much sentiment for it among Mets fans working in MLB offices in New York, but Commissioner Selig refused to cave in to that demand, as there are equal numbers of Yankee fans who work at MLB, who thought the Mets should at least have to play World Series games”.

I certainly understand that Nascar is boring to many, but I prefer fenders on the cars I drive as well as on those I watch others drive on tv, plus I won the first week of my fantasy league today thanks to a great last lap pass by Ryan Newman. Cricket I’m not ready for yet, but anything that involves bats and sticky wickets has got potential. :-)
