Seems like a logical choice for him and the Sox.

The Sox have a log jam of #4/5 pitchers now. I would still be interested in Contreras if he came for a bag of balls. He would be decent insurance for Elduque and take the #5 spot next year if needed. I don’t know if the Sox want to unload his contract or not.

I disagree, Id stay away from Contreras, the new mets need to stay young and sharp, not even crazy about El Duque.
Id rather take a chance on John Danks if he has waivers left, he’ll be hot for triple A and great insurance in the event muiltiple pitching injuries arise.

I actually wanted the Mets to go after this guy, but as the winter leagues wore on, it appeared he was still having some arm problems. His velocity was still in the mid 80’s at that time.

Second the motion here, the only thing sexy about Colon is the scent.

ImpactoDeportive has got about as poor a record this winter as some big-name pundits…

To wit: White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said the team has reached no agreement with Bartolo Colon and hasn’t even talked to the right-hander in weeks.
