Health: Wagner’s Cyst
By Matthew Cerrone - Feb 20, 2008 8:18 am

According to MLB.com, Billy Wagner will have a cyst removed from his neck later this week.

…from what i can gather, there is not a whole lot of concern from camp about this…seems fairly routine…good luck, billy

It would be great if they could sew his mouth shut until October

Maybe he can take Beltran with him and they can get a 2-fer deal.

I think Billy will be fine.

I had a cyst removed from my back while in the middle of the Ocean during the current Gulf War, by a doctor who looked like he just hit puberty the week before.

    Either way, good luck Billy…

shouldnt be a big deal but the healing process almost entirely depends on the size of it. if this were a post about beltran getting his mole removed id say he’d probably have to wait till mid august to back up his words from earlier in the week.

I had a cyst removed from my back about two weeks ago — it was about the size of a quarter and I could have pitched probably a 4-6 days after without the wound re-opening or anything.

In other words, he’ll be fine.
