And one more thing......

You're complaining about Mets' fans complaining?

Irony indeed. I say take your own advice.

I don't disagree during pitching changes and in between innings. All lulls in the action like that are fine.

My point is in between pitches. During the inning when the game is being played.

Also, "when the crowd is dead", when does that happen? When the team is playing poorly? When they are losing? Why try to manufacture crowd emotion? The game sets that tempo, not the DJ. The team's play energizes the crowd, the fans are more than knowledgeable about it and the kids being bored well...kids will get bored by the music too. They get bored with everything after awhile.

David Wright's got one: We Owe You One

(The 76ers actually used that one decades ago and it took em six or seven years to deliver).

Dude, like 3 years ago I went up to Foxboro
to watch the friggin' Pats beat the crap outta
my beloved Jets and chants of "Yankees Suck!" broke out again and again. At a football game!
Last time I was in Boston, I ain't makin' this up, a homeless guy, with the shopping cart, rollin' down the street with a "Yankees Suck" tee.
The hatred runs deep....

I went to a Phillies vs Mets game at Philly where a whole section of yankees fans crashed the party.

One of them was pushed down the nosebleed stairs and almost went over the railing.

First and foremost some complain about the music being too loud and others complain (me as well as others) that the music is not loud enough. I can barely hear the intro songs from my mezz seats and can barely hear the likes of Professor Reyes or Enter Sandman when Wags comes in.

Some people complain that going to a game shouldn't involve all the extra noise and music and things of that nature and that it should be about baseball. BLAH BLAH BLAH. That is completely boring. During a pitching change you can go a good 5 minutes waiting for the damn pitcher to be ready. What do we want 5 minutes of pure silence?

Some complain the music is old and others complain they play too much hip-hop and reggeton. Which is it? I say if everyone is unhappy I guess they are doing a good job.

Most of the crowd pumping up factors do get to be overdone when it is a good crowd but there are plenty of times that when the crowd is dead and they use these tactics to get the fans to stop sitting on their hands.

Lets also keep in mind that most of the stuff that is done is done to get young kids to have fun. At their young age they aren't hooked like we are. The things like the Apple, Mister Met, the music, the fun games at dead points help get a kid to say Daddy can we go to the Met game. Eventually they grow to love the team but all this other stuff gets their attention early.

If you do not like this stuff simply block it out is it really that hard? Read the program or check over the out of town scoreboard and try to name all of the pitchers pitching that day.

Bottom line in all of this? Met fans love to complain. They love to think they can speak for an entire fan-base based on their own opinions on uniform colors, music, volume, crowd pumping tactics and crowd pleasing tactics. So I say shut the hell up stop the whining and just enjoy the game. All that other stuff can be tuned out.
