He scares me. I foresee him taking off one of our guy's heads. Not because he is a badass, but because he has no control over his pitches.

Pat Burrell has done well against the Mets no matter who was pitching. It has nothing to do with Wagner.

The problem with Lidge is that he was never the same after his postseason disaster and that includes the regular season, lol.

No one said the Mets' collapse would never be mentioned again. Where did you get that idea from? The listing of the games was pretty pointless. I mean if it's fun for you, go ahead.

The sad thing for Phillie fans is that no one will remember the Phillies even appeared in the 2007 postseason, their showing was that inconsequential and pointless. No postseason accomplishments. No memories to cherish.

Wagner's never choked it up as big as Lidge. And he at least is able to recover from the meltdowns all closers have from time to time. Lidge has never been the same since his postseason disasters.

Wagner hasn't exactly torn up the playoffs either, 1-5, 8.71 ERA, and seems unable to get Pat Burrell out with the game or season on the line.

Yeah, you're right, no one mentions the Mets collapse at all. No one will remember that Mets collapse vs the dregs of the league. And I've got a really nice bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya.

Lidge was never the same after his multiple devastating postseason meltdowns. "Then" is "now" for Lidge.

Congrats, you know how to read a schedule and post the results! What does that prove? Sure, the Mets collapsed before the end of the season, but fact is the Phillies' performance in the playoffs was as dismal and humiliating as it can get. If you can't even win a single game in the playoffs, why bother? At least the Mets get a better draft pick out of the season.

I'm not celebrating anyone's injury. But if this had happened to a Met you'd be on here celebrating with some other Philly fans. Stop being hypocritical.

As for dramatic late inning homers, no one's given up as many dramatic and heart-breaking ones as Lidge in the postseason which appear to have scarred him for life.
