Please nobody concern yourself with whether he gives up hits or walks. The man’s healthy, feels good, and can throw a baseball. To me, that’s excellent news.

12:36 P.M.: Duaner Sanchez is through the inning, his first since July ‘06. He got Michel Abreu on a fielder’s choice, struck out Fernando Martinez looking, and after a walk loaded the bases, he got minor leaguer Brahaim Maldonado on a grounder to end a 26-pitch effort.

12:27 P.M.: Duaner Sanchez took the mound for the top of the second. Ramon Castro greeted him with a bloop single to center. Brian Schneider then grounded a single to center. None out.
…he didn’t walk the bases loaded…he allowed a walk to load the bases.

Yeah I know about SuperPlay … I met Wright on the bowling lanes there last year. Just bowling with his buddies like he was some nobody. Really great guy.

From what I gathered no. The days I went were away games so most of the bigger guys didn’t have to travel so they got in early to get their daily workouts and practice in and then they bounced. They were probably happier because they could hit the golf course and do whatever they wanted to.

Another tip is earlier in Spring Training the guys are generally a lot looser so they will acknowledge the fans more. They also go out a little more. There is some complex called SuperPlay USA or something like that and the players are known to go there early on.
