Mint – welcome to the second coming of Mo Vaughn. Nothing like having depth at the minor league level. It’s Michel Abreu time!

I wonder if Schneider is working with the pitchers on the side so much that he needs to take the ST games off for rest…

I’m wondering about Schneider too .. what’s he played like 2 innings so far?

hmm, Manriquez catching Niese makes sense as they may both be at AA. But yea it is a little curious.

I’m curious to see if Sosa goes two innings. The Mets should be preparing him to be a starter given the status of Duque and lack of depth. They can always convert him to a starter later, cant go the other way though.

whoops, I meant they could convert him to a reliever later… duh!

but curiously he is done after one inning.

when did it become commonplace for there to be DH’s in NL ST games? I remember there being exceptions for certain hitters a couple years ago, now it seems like its all the time…

Sosa is not good enough to be a starter….hes a mediocure reliever at best

He’s good enough to fill in when needed.

If he doesnt stretch out his arm then the Mets are just closing off one option for a starter.

Seems to have the right attitude, though….and three Ks in 2ip is pretty nice start to the spring. Oh Jesus….Church and Anderson in horrid collision.

Why are these games not televised in HD? I remember last year only mets home games were in HD..is this going to be resolved for this year perhaps?

Chruch got his bell rung….Marlon’s jaw and perhaps wind knocked out. Really was close to a nice catch by church…the collision knocked it out. They both seem to be walking okay….NOW Feliciano’s glove hand just got smacked.

church and marlon smack into each other, feliciano was getting checked out by the trainer a minute ago, reyes took a foul ball off his leg earlier, what a nightmare. can we just forfeit?

Why does this season all of the sudden have an utter sense of doom…Beltran, Castillo, Delgado, Church, Anderson, Sanchez all not 100% yet…unbelieveable…never fails for us Met fans.

What’s Bobby V doing there?

Oh….you mean Valentin (no e). Jose V. So easy for a big Mets fan to misspell our players names, since they never show the names in graphics on TV, or in the papers, or, you know, write them on the back of the jerseys or anything like that!
