…i landed, rented my car, and after a several u-turns, i have checked in to my room…
…it’s a breezy 75 degrees, which is wonderful considering that only 12 hours ago i was brushing snow off my car at home…
…as i got off the exit for Port St. Lucie, sitting at a traffic light, covered in maps, i turned my head to see Ron Darling,
chilling, with his shades on, sitting idle at the light in the car next to me…hysterical…it was 2 pm, so, apparently, he’s not at the game today…i did not say hello, though i should have…not that he would have known who i am, especially in traffic…in florida…
…before checking in, i had to drive by the stadium, though i did not go in…i pulled over, jumped out of the car and snapped this photo of the entrance…
…that’s all for now…i need to unpack, hit the grocery store for some food, water, etc, and then get set to meet up with some fellow fans, bloggers and writers at Duffy’s Sports Grill…

3 letters for you: G-P-S
and here I thought you were going to say
M-A-P
Guess I’m old school . . .
yikes, Church doesn’t even recall the incident.. I think Spring training is a bit too long, still a whole month of games and stupid injuries like the collision of Anderson/Church (who, if Delgado is out, could be 2 opening day starters)..
Damn, I wish I was in PSL right now. about 2 inches of snow in Syracuse already today and counting…
almost a foot in Glens Falls
ah you’re lucky, I wish I was in Port St. Lucie right now..next year I’ll be there
I’ll be there in 12 days…can’t wait
Wow! Matt, I feel like I’m in PSL with you! You should set up a webcam at Duffy’s and stream the Mets party here.
Your such a loooooser. OMG did you like have a total freakout when you saw ron??? LIKE omg did you check your make up in the mirror, hahaha you WHORE
was wondering that myself
Leaving this Friday to meet some Met players, can’t freakin wait.
GPS is great. enjoy the sun, wear your sunscreen, watch out for fly balls. do the players go out at night during spring training? do they drink, party, meet women, etc? can you tell us a little bit about the life of a player during this month? work 7 days a week, where do they live, who pays for their temporary housing, etc, etc, etc?
I’ll be landing in PSL the day you’re flying back…I’m excited to read about what I have to look forward to.
reyes rules to answer your question the players work 7 days a week usually when not playing working out the team pays for most of the housing for the players they usually rent in a complex somewhere and going out usually for dinner being as during spring training are early days and alot of tourists are running around port st luice so if they go out theyll sometimes drive down to west palm beach hope i helped
Where are you staying in PSL?
I hope i can spot you at Dodgertown! Glad you’re getting a chance to check out that stadium–it’s great! It’s sees like tomorrow is the only time the Mets will be there. I sure hope they bring more than 4 starters!
Forget Darling. You need to find Jocelyn Pierce. I wish you had allowed comments on that thread, but I can see why you didn’t. You a pretty geek. I think I’m in love.
