So now you want to say he can cover short for a dozen games after a leg injury? Due to his leg injuries, people are talking about Castillo being slower and he's 6 years younger. But Easley can come back from his and show no signs of it? How many middle infielders are playing at that age, especially at short? Nobody in the Mets organization even thinks he can play there, with Omar already saying what I said about moving Castillo over. They were even talking about it on tv saying that AHern might have to be on the team just to backup short. Dont fall into the trap that just because he hit a couple of big pinch hit homers and played decent, that he can do things like he did when he was younger. He’s 38 years old. A reason for the 4 week pre season is mainly to help the pitchers out who do find it beneficial. I personally think there should be a 3 week spring training as oppossed to 4.
