Does anybody have more info on Tejada? Was he one of Manaya’s big Latin American signings? Is there anywhere that I can find this info?

Now I definitely agree with you there. I think Bannister is a solid pitcher, but unspectacular. I don’t think he’ll be much more than a No. 4 or No. 5 starter over the long haul. He’s got a good idea out there, but just average to medicore stuff. At the time, the Mets had guys (Pelfrey, Humber, Guerra, etc.) that they were much higher on, leaving Bannister expendable. Burgos is a power arm who hasn’t panned out yet (hopefully he will when he returns).

Are you really a Mets fan? Have you ever heard of the words “team chemistry?” And what has Bonds won in his career, ever? He had a great World Series against the Angels at the height of his steroid use but other than that was a perennial playoff choker. Look it up. And you don’t win baseball games by just putting together a video-game lineup. It’s won with pitching and defense and Bonds can’t play the field anymore, nor can he pitch. The Met’s acquisition of Santana did more for the team than signing Barroid would. Don’t know where you came from, but you should crawl back into the hole before making ridiculous posts.

Figure in a year Sheffield comes off the books for them….Pierre stays in Left, maybe they keep Jones and shift him to Right while making Magglio the full time DH….
