Delgado, Church, Schneider, Chavez & Anderson all seem likely to be playing within a week. Castillo and Beltran both have a chance of doing so, and both will definitely be ready by March 31.

Of those 7, 5 are veteran players that don’t need a full spring schedule to be 100% ready, and Chavez is used to pinch hitting so also presumably shouldn’t take long to establish his timing.

Gotay’s presumably gonna be ready soon, my understanding is the team’s concerned was mostly based around seeing the shadow of an old injury in his X-ray.

Easley’s reporting that he’ll be ready to play soon.
Duaner’s a worry at this point, but even without him our bullpen looks at least as good as it was last year, maybe better with Wise for Mota.

That leaves only Alou as an unknown. And it’s such an unknown that he could be jumping off the plane tomorrow ready to play – it makes sense for the club to treat him with extreme caution at the stage since he’s both such a known injury risk and such a valuable player when healthy.
