PSL: El Duque has his Fingers Crossed
…i just finished watching Orlando Hernandez throw roughly 40 pitches or so in a bullpen session…honestly, it’s impossible to tell if he looked good or bad…his delivery is a bit different…he was throwing sort-of sidearm at one point…
…he was being watched by Jeff Wilpon, Willie Randolph, Guy Conti, Rick Peterson, a few other coaches, and
a camera man who kept shifting angles, from behind el duque, to the side of the mound and behind the catcher…
…el duque told reporters after the session that he feels good, but does not know when he’ll pitch again…when asked if the new wind up will work for him, he held up crossed fingers on both hands, smiled and said, “I don’t know, everybody cross their fingers.”…
…if i am invited back to camp next year, SNY will clearly have to send me with some sort of steady-cam, because, thanks to my shaky hands, every video i have shot makes it look Port St. Lucie is home of the earthquake…
