And, his diving catches, yeah, saw them. If ran better routes and had a sense of where the ball was coming off the bat like a skilled outfielder, he wouldn't have had to dive. (24 HBP over the last 2 seasons vs. 2) So, I looked it up... the Phillies topped the NL in HBP last year, second only to Kansas City in the majors. Now, I can believe that KC's hitters just aren't able to get out of the way of pitches... but the Phillies? Come on umps... call 'em out when they're diving in.
