I actually had hernia surgery last March so can relate to Alou’s pain. Nowadays it’s done laproscopically which makes the recovery a lot easier.
also keep in mind, that while Alou is old by BB standards, and had some muscle issues last year, the man seems to be in fantastic shape. He is probably a better specimin than most players 10 years younger.
So it wil likely help him recover from the Hernia quicker too.
And thank god he needs about 10 minutes in the cage to be ready for game action!
