In a post to his blog, MattTracy.com, the young Matt Tracy took advantage of his day with press credentials at Tradition Field to talk with David Wright.
Wright talks with Tracy about his off-season schedule, his goals for 2008, the team’s newest players, and his advice for young kids who play baseball.
…matt works hard and does a great job with his blog…he’s very young, but has a ton of potential…keep up the great work…
Speaking of interviews, Mike from Mike’s Mets joined Mets Grrl, Always Amazin and Shea Nation for a blogger’s roundtable at the Happy Recap message board.
Also, speaking of interviews, Joe from Mets Today took part in a Q&A with Cory Humes of Seamless Baseball.
Oh, and speaking of interviews, Faith and Fear in Flushing’s Greg Prince took part in a Q&A with the outstanding MBTN.
Meanwhile, the Associated Press details Johan Santana’s quick visit to Twins camp yesterday.
Lastly, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tom Glavine is not just a pitcher, he’s a spy.

I read the commnets to that AJC piece (just to see what Braves fans are like). A few seem to be just a tad optomistic about what Glavine will do, but there are also some that are more realistic. This is my favorite poster:

Mark it down ! Tom Glavine will not win more than 10 games and he will have an ERA of over 5. Despite how the media in this town hypped it, Tom took no hometown discount coming back - by July Braves fans will realize he is stealing money.
Tom Glavine isn’t a spy! Just take a look at his last pitching performance for the Mets. He had a complete meltdown that put an exclamation mark on the September 2007 collapse! Glavine’s no spy. He probably is a malicious arsonist and saboteur!
he was a mole. LIke one of those Russian sleepers that pretended to be an American, just waiting for their assignment.
Hey, maybe he is a double agent? If he really converted to the mets, could they have re-planted him to sabatoge the Braves?
I actually don’t care, as long as he pitches like crap, and gets knocked out of games early to trashtheir BP.
It was especially nice to see that mini-Matt doesn’t have pop-up ads on his site.
Just realized something. Assuming glavine really is older than Duque, the Phils and Braves actually both have an older SP than the Mets! And if Duque is on the shelf, the Braves have at least 2.

When I first read this, very quickly I might add, I thought Tracy was reporting that Wright said this about Cerrone!
Hopefully Glavine is as bad a spy as he is a pitcher.
