The Brooklyn Met Fan compares Orlando Hernandez to Snuffleupagus.

At Amazin’ Avenue, Eric Simon posts the latest Make-the-Mets-O-Meter.

In a post to Mets Today, Joe points to a discussion from last night’s broadcast on SNY, which revealed who the team’s mid-game, emergency catcher may be.

also, last week, Willie Randolph told reporters that Damion Easley would be considered as well, though, “We may just draw straws, or flip a coin at that point,” he added…

Mike, from Mike’s Mets, investigates the phony Keith Hernandez MySpace page.

Kruk is an Idiot, and what does he even lnow about winning. The closest he’s come to winning is watching Joe Carter circling the bases after his walkoff HR in the 93 World Series…LOL

Kruk admitted to picking the pirates to be the best team of the second half last year because ESPN told him to.

lame.

Why are we still pay ANY attention to these guys? I now trust the bloggers, such as yourself Matt to give us more informed and objective opinions, and not just say stuff for the sake of ratings. Personally, I hardly even watch ESPN anymore. They can keep their so-called experts and their ratings games. Matt, I know you’ve thrown your lot in with SNY, but please stay true to the readers and continue to give us the straight scoop that you always have, be it pro or anti Met.

WHAT RUN HAVE THE PHILLIES BEEN ON? Kruk is a tool

He meant run of MVPs. He picked Derrek Lee to win it.

Whatever. Kruk provides absolutely no value whatsoever. At least the only guy on the network who has a clue besides Gammons - Tim K. - picked the Mets.

Gammons hasn’t had a clue since his brain aneurysm.

This was last night?
Hmmm, Kruk has got to be the biggest imbecile this side of the moon. He mentions the Cubs as being the best if Kerry Wood stays healthy and the news out of Cubs camp yesterday was that Wood was having some injuries.
By the way, Kruk will never pick the Mets for anything. He is biased.

Quite frankly, I don’t know why he is even on ESPN. He is a horrible analyst.

What really drves me crazy aout Kruk is when he says the Philles will win the division beause, after Sanatana, the Mets ptching is *questionable.*

HUH? And the Phillies pitching is……? I mean, Cole Hamels is hardly proven. Brett Myers, who knows? After that I can’t even name the rest of their rotation.

If Kruk wants to base his pick on *known pitching* then shouldn’t he pick the Braves?

The only guy I take seriously on ESPN with regards to baseball is Tim Kurkjan. He seems to be the least biased and is the smartest guy there. It is too bad they do not have him on that often. Other then that Kruk is an absolute tool.

My favorite Kruk moment was when he said Randy Johnson could easily win 30 games a couple years back if he stays healthy…..lol

You gotta love Timmy Kurkjian. I met the guy last season at the ESPN Zone before a Mets-Cubs game - the one that was delayed by rain until 10:15 and you could mail your ticket in for any of the games in the TWins series. Anyway, no one knew who he was just sitting near the bar. I turn around and he was right near me so I started to talking baseball and he said if Pedro came back healthy the Mets had a great chance in ‘07. Well, his prediction was wrong but you have love his optimisim. There’s at least one ESPN guy who doesn’t hate the Mets.

All this kvetching about the ESPN tools ignores the most important part of this post - a reference to Snufleupagus, complete with Matt posting a picture of a Snuffleupagus stuffed toy!
