Not that he's a huge difference-maker, but his bat would REALLY help off the bench. If there's a way to get him without giving up the farm, you've got to at least talk to the Cubs about it. Doesnt mean they dont think back and wonder what happened and what they can learn from their mistakes. Getting Santana certainly was a nice step in the right direction. I dont know about you, but the last game I saw them play was game 162 where I left after witnissing them give the season away. It hurt. A lot. Of couse '08 is totally different than '07. I have high hopes for this year . But if you cant even understand people being hesitant over this team, then I wonder if you are a fan. If in 5 years if fans are still harping on the collapse then I totally understand.
