The Mets can't rescind since Gotay was placed on irrevocable waivers. I suggest you check again. Also, if Colorado claims Gotay, they'd have to pay $25,000. But since the Mets would have to pay them $25,000 and return Register, it makes no sense for the to work out a trade for Gotay since they can basically get Gotay AND Register for free. Of couse, that's if they want Gotay. NO! The Mets can’t rescind since Gotay was placed on irrevocable waivers. I suggest you check again.

It only led all levels of the minors in saves. Seems to be a significant number to me, especially when he's young and is projected to be a closer in the near future. Thats why most of us want to keep him, in hopes of him being our future closer. But of course you're the expert. It's more important to keep those carbon-based lifeforms with no future over a young pitcher with potential and a future.
