St. Louis, MO I know Danny1986, but that’s it.
STL also
Rochester, NY. More specifically, anyone else want to meet up at Sports Page on Monroe for Opening Day?
I was gonna just hoof it from my office down to Matthew’s on East (the owner is a big Mets fan) but I could try the Sports Page. Haven’t been there since I moved here last year.
Sports Page has a huge neon Mets sign in the front. I thought that served as a welcome mat.
But, I’d go to Matthews too. I like it there.
I see lots of Mets gear around…must be that dont know the site…I have to work or I’d be there…maybe next time…thank god for DVR
Is this set as Sports Page on Monday or was the location changed.
I’m down with Sports Page for Monday. I’ll be in work gear, but I’ll be there.
Buffalo NY
Down in the ATL…Let’s go Mets
Second for Atlanta.
Third for Atlanta
4th for the ATL!
I’m in Atlanta….got Direct TV though, so I’ll be watching it at home.
Still would like to get an Atlanta Mets network going..
If you’re interested, email here…
mrmet33@gmail.com
and set up an email thread for meeting up at bars, tailgating, if anyone has an extra ticket, etc. Maybe even a bar-b-que.
I live in Atlanta and will be attending all 3 games next weekend. I plan on tailgaiting for the Friday and Saturday game. Hit me up if you’d like to get together!
Also in the ATL. Is anyone going to a bar downtown to watch the opening game (mets@marlins 4:10pm)?
Probably not , I have MLB package. But if you’re looking for a bar w/ good food try The Elbow Room in Buckhead. Owners are from NYC – Yankee fans, unfortunately – but they’re still good people and the food is great.
I go there to watch games on Saturday sometimes…
I work downtown ATL and could be at a bar by 5. How about Jocks or STATS?
Stats sounds good. Never been there before. I will be there at five. The guy with the Seaver jersey.
STATS it is. I’ll look for you (I’ll have my Mets hat on). Name is Mark.
Sorry, how rude. Name is Jay. Go Amazins! See you there.
Washington DC, but will Opening Day be televised nationally?
I’m in DC too, and I’m sure there has to be at least some bars that have the Extra Innings package and have a New York bent. I know the Crysal City Sports Pub in Arlington and the newly opened Blackfinn in Bethesda (right around the corner from me) are Giants bars during the football season, although that would probably make them Yankee bars if they do baseball too.
Either way, I’m away for the weekend, so good luck finding one, but I won’t be able to attend.
I am DC – Porters at 19th and K has the package and most of the bartenders are Mets fans so you can always get the the game on.
I’m in DC and will be there. I’m 6′8″ with a shaved head so you can’t miss me. Hope to see many there.
I’m in DC as well. i’m a member of the meetup.com DC Mets Network, but a lot of the meets take place in NoVa or MD. I wanna get something started in DC proper. In NW, to be more specific…
I’m also DC
I’m in the DC area too, in Silver Spring. I know of 51st state, on Pennsylvania I think. They play every NY sports team. Won’t be able to go out for opening day, but any other time during the season, I’ll be wherever the people are!
51st state in foggy bottom is definitely good for mets games. baileys in crystal city or ballston is probably your best best in NoVa. I dont know whats good in MD as i live on the other side of the potomac.
i here camelot is a great place to hang out as well.
what about a tailgate for opening day, or a meetup after the game in manhattan pending victorious results?
your talking opening day AT Home?
heck yeah i am!
Saratoga Springs, New York 12866
Cincinnati Ohio…. ANYONE???? I’m a Relocated EX-NYER I am pretty sure it’s going to be hard to concince some Sports bar to turn off the Reds game and buy MLB Extra Innings so me and the other NY Met FAN will be able to watch it… I Guess I have to open up my own bar!
How about a meetup in Queens?
Pfft….who the hell wants to go all the way out to Queens.
haha ass :P
kowalski…you still sec-shun eigh-teen?
Baltimore, MD
Second for Baltimore
Third for Baltimore.
unfortunately i also live in this dump
do any of you know of a place to watch mets games, i have extra innings but wouldnt mind going to a bar occasionally on the weekends to watch with some fans.
Ft. Smith, AR…..wow I said that out loud…..but seriously, there has to be someone else
Jonesboro, Ar. I know it’s not that close but by far the closes. Surprisingly I work with at least 2 other Mets fans(OK one is my sister) and know of at least a couple more in the area besides the ones I converted!
Charlotte, NC
A baseball fan in Charlotte? I thought I was the only one.
Let’s go Mets!!!!!!!
Where in Charlotte would we meet up? Downtown? Southpark? Ballantyne? Stonecrest? Who will have the Mets on instead of college basketball?
Norfolk, VA. There are a handful of us lurking around down here. I’m sure there are a few more.
Hampton, Va Come on there has to be more than two of us. The Tides have only been gone one year (the real Tides). Maybe we can get David Wright’s family to go out.
new orleans, la.
Boston???
BOSTON!
A relocated Mets fan in Boston, MA..I got a dish and I’m watching all season long…I bleed orange and blue in Red Sox nation.
Boston! I live and die with the Mets, and I can’t stand Red Sox nation.
The fact that you have to pay to be a card carrying member of Red Sox Nation is such a joke. It is tough being a Mets (and Jets) fan here Boston.
Can’t wait for the Mets-Red Sox world series this year
Would be even sweeter than rubbing in the G-Men victory over tha PWWAAATS!
hate boston teams
got the dish last year, its a must for Boston based mets fans—
LETS GO METS!
What dish deal do you have to get SNY in Boston? Do you get it in HD?
DirectTV.
I ordered the regional sports option which gives you the SNY Channel (plus MSG, FSNY, and other regional sports channels such as Mid Atlantic Fox Sports etc..) PLUS I ordered MLB Extra Innings.
The reason I got the Extra Innings Package is because of the MLB blackout rules, which doesnt allow some games to be braodcast on SNY in the Boston Area(don’t even try to uderstand the MLB blackout rules, you’ll drive yourself crazy!!))
When a game is on, Ill try SNY first. If the game is blacked out on SNY, I switch over to the Extra Innings and usually pick up the game from the opposing teams local channel (get ready to be subject to the opposing team broadcasters!)…
The home games on SNY would be HD, the extra innings games wouldnt (that was last year though, not sure how this years is gong to work yet)
How often are the games blacked out so that you have to watch Extra Innings?
Also in Boston. Is there a good place to catch the game?
Boston Met fans lets work some thing out…where can we congregate?
Yea, I had a tough enough time finding a place to watch the Giants, Mets need some love in Boston.
This might sound outrageous but how about good times in Somerville on that Monday afternoon ?
Appleinahat—-its hard to say, or better yet-I can’t quite remember…
but from what I do, its often, maybe a 50/50 split?
other Mets fans in Boston may have a better memory
I just know it was enough where I had to buy the extra innings package. Its also very erratic, you just dont know when a game will be blacked out so if your looking forward to a game, you dont know until gametime whether its blacked out…..I couldnt take it so I ordered the Innings package.
As far as a place to watch the game, we could hit up Game On by Fenway….or there are a bunch of bars on Canal Street next to the Garden that Im sure would have the game…
Game On would be a good place, somewhere towards downtown, I don’t know if Somerville is a good idea.
So is it Game On in Boston? …Are we going to make it happen ?
Hoboken
Second Hoboken!
I am meeting a few friends at Black Bear at 1 o’clock for the games. I should be in good shape by 4pm for Johan.
Love Black Bear….you gonna be watchin away weekend games there? I like Willie’s (McBrides) as well…
I used to work in Black Bear, man that place is great!
jaded and saltzy, you guys in for blackbear??
For OD? Cant…
during the season though, for sure… Ill be the guy in the Mets Jacket…JK
For certain though ,either grab a beer at the stadium or at a bar sometime…
uh, what’s the address for black bear and how many are going? is this the jerzy location?
black bear is on second and washington. you can probably google black bear hoboken to get exact directions.
Depending on the weather, I like to watch regular season away games on the roof of the Dubliner. But Black bear is great too.
Austin, Texas. I know there are a few Mets fans getting together but more are welcome.
Austin! where do you go to watch the games?
For the most part we watch at different apartments as a couple of us have mlb extra innings. Otherwise 3rd Base is always a solid option for nationally televised games.
3rd Base sounds good. I’m right downtown, I’ll try and get there for the first Nationally televised game. I also have the package
Sweet. I knew I’d seen other blue hats around Austin. Anyone watching the game Monday? I was planning on 3rd Base . . .
Most pointless thread ever…. would be much easier to just have the ability to form groups within Metsblog and to coordinate that way.
jerusalem
Next year in Jerusalem!
LOL
Anybody in the windy city that has figured out what bar will show the game while the Cubbies and Sox are on TV? Stupid Chicago ….
I’m going to be in Chicago for the Monday, April 21st Mets-Cubs game…
Any place that Mets fans meet up there? I heard the Cubby Bear after the game, but I don’t know.
Chicago Mets fan here. I will be at 22nd game. Will be at Cubbie Bear before; always a mixed fan crowd there.
Cubs fans hold a special hatred for Mets and their fans so be warned. Then again, it always seems that thousands of Mets fans turn out for these games. Thank God!
Super satisfying when the Mets win @ Wrigley!
I know 21st game is nationally televised.
I was at all the games in Wrigley the past 2 years and there were tons of Met fans there but that was on the weekends. Can’t make it there this year b/c the games fall on a Monday and Tuesday. Some other good bars by the stadium were Murphy’s Bleachers and Sluggers.
rockford mets fan here. going to be at the 22nd game and will be at cubby bear before the game wearing my Santana jersey.
Go Mets!!!!!!!
Born in NJ but live in Chicago about a mile west of Wrigley. My Mets flag flies proudly. Go to each game every year so let me know if there is a meet up.
Chicago Mets fan here too! Originally from Brooklyn. I can fit a couple of Mets fans in my apartment for the home opener to watch it on Extra Innings. I’ll also be at both games, and the Sox/Yanks game that Tuesday night to boo the Bronx Bombers. So get at me if you wanna hang.

Hey Chicago peeps- check out my site for plans in the next week or so to get a TON of Mets Fans together.
I already know about a group of 20 of us all with bleacher seats for the 4/21 and 4/22 games. We haven’t picked a bar though to meet before and/or after. Though, probably not Cubby Bear. Maybe Merkles (one owner is a Mets fan) or Murphy’s Bleachers.
Drop me an email- rubes79 [at] gmail.com so we can all meet up. I had a very successful meetup last year.
I also know a few bars with the baseball package.
Headed to Memphis this weekend as well!
Burlington, VT
Rutland, VERMONT
LETS GO METS !!!!
I ordered some kinish (sp) from Nathans in Coney Island and they are over night shipped here. I had one at a game once and loved it. Nobody here in Vermont knows what a kinish is. So We are gonna have kinish and watch the Mets pound the Fish !!!!
Syracuse NY – hopeful that we will soon be the AAA city of the NY Mets!!!!
Empire, Dorseys?
Greensboro,NC
I’ll be down in Atlanta for the series next week and also when we’re back there in September, If anyone lives in NC and wants to meet up for some games lemme know.
Philly, but we may need some security detail.
Philly (live exton, work bala) as well. May be a bad idea.
Also Philly – live in Conshy work in Horsham. Don’t need security for Monday but may need it for April 19 th for the game here.
Live in Devon, work in Malvern. Who’s organizing?
South Florida
same here, tampa/clearwater area
Tampa/St Pete also.
+1 Washington, DC! I presume- 51st State?
civil rights game – memphis, tn. if anyones going to the civil rights game in memphis this saturday and wants to hang out at the casinos afterwards give me a shout. me and several other mets fans will be spreading the gospel of omar at the fitz casino. email me: da86mets[at]aol.com
las vegas, nv
Columbus, OH
Atlanta Ga.
Anyone from here going to the civil rights game?
MIAMI – anyone going to the game and planning on tailgating at dolphin stadium?
Miami Right herrrr, I’m going in Opening Day, We’re planning on tailgating in the lot.
i’m going, as well, not sure that i will make it in time to tailgate. do met fans congregate any where in particular?
I’m relatively new in Miami so I don’t know anywhere specifically where met fans congregate, but rest assure that there is a reason why they call it the 6 borough thus you won’t have a hard time finding fellow Met fans congregating.
I’m coming down to South Florida from Long Island for the game. I’d like to get a tailgate going.
Fairfield CT – going down to So Fla for Opening Day too.
If anyone has been to the stadium before and knows a good tailgating area – please let us know
Do you wanna meet up, talk some Mets baseball and whatnot?

Headed to Memphis this weekend as well!
Ann Arbor, MI
Ann Arbor x2
lets do it at bdubbs — i’m in
I’m down for some Mets viewing, though BDubbs isn’t my favorite bar here.
i hear ya, i’m just trying to think of a place to accomodate the under-21 year olds (like myself)
How about the Arena?
A2 here as well, I’m down for watching the game. Whats the consensus?
Since Bdubbs was vetoed earlier, let’s meet at the Arena. I asked yesterday and they confirmed that they will have the game. Gametime is 4:10 pm and since the detroit game is at 1, we shouldn’t have a problem getting a table. I’ll be there a little before 4 (look for the tall guy in the Mets sweatshirt and hat). Hope to see you there.
Oslo, Norway
LOL – good luck! And, good for you!
niskayuna/schenectady, NY
I didn’t realize we had any Mets bars in the Nisky area. I always watched games over in Albany at DeJohn’s or Legends but they were usually loaded with obnoxious Yankkk fans.
I’m in Albany, gotta work Monday night…. but all other nights I’ll probably be at Andy’s…..
Manager there is a Met fan, and they have some smokin waitresses
notre dame
south bend, IN
don’t live there but i’m a HUGE ND fan. Got an ND tattoo on one arm and a NY on the other.
Raleigh Durham, NC. Gotta be some other Mets fans around here…
man, this thread looks like the scene from the movie “Miracle” (and Might y Ducks 2) where each memeber of the hockey team declares where they are from.
Oh and any Met fans in philly – make sure to dop a deuce right in front of CBP on your way to the bar…oh and wear running shoes, youy’ll need them after the aforementioned deuce
4 days!
I’d drop one on Jimmy Rollins, but he could probably catch me.
You guessed it.
Encino, CA
San Francisco, anyone in the city on opening day come to ACE’s at Hyde and Sutter. We’re a New YORK sports bar in the heart of Frisco and I’ll be the Reyes jersey wearing Barkeep. I come on at 1 o’clock pacific time which is right as the game begins. ASK for Mikey O
Sounds good, Always lookin for Mets fans in the bay area.
Are there anyother met fans at the bar?
See ya there
Lets Go Mets!!!
Los Angeles. Anyone up for a sports bar on the Westside?
I have a group for the first Sunday game of the year at Barney’s Beanery (3rd street promenade) and the first Mets-Dodgers game at Dodgers Stadium
mets.meetup.com/17
Denver, CO. Its funny because I’ve seen more Mets hats the past few weeks than I have since moving here 3 years ago.
Denver here.
I usually go to the Moon Times as I am freinds with the owner and they get all of the games. Tigers bar!
Contact me though. I would love to have a local fan that to watch games with. I might get the ticket
Dallas, TX
Toronto, Canada
Look, I see enough people with Mets gear here that there should be at least a couple of other real fans, but who knows.
Anyways, it would be sweet to find some other Mets fans here. I feel all alone … haha.
Portland, Oregon.
I await the chirping of the crickets.
Austin. Have Extra Innings. When and where is everyone going to watch?
It’s looking like 3rd base on West 6th is the place. Looks like a few of us have the extra innings so we can always do that
Los Angeles, CA
I have a group of mets fans organized to watch the games. While I don’t have anything scheduled for opening day, I do have a meet scheduled for the first Sunday game, April 6, Mets-Braves, at Barney’s Beanery in the 3rd Street Promenade. We are also organizing a group outing at the first Mets-Dodgers game on May 5th.
I took out the address because I can’t otherwise figure out why my post isnt posting
Ill try again without the header:
mets.meetup.com/17
Minneapolis????
Denver,CO mets fan
Allentown, PA
Jacksonville, Fl
Concord CA, or anywhere in the Bay Area
HEY BONATOM!!! A second in Cincy, right here! Actually, Northern KY but same thing right! Family is originally from Long Island moved here as a kid for Dad’s job.
Houston, TX … moved down from Queens in March 2006.
seems like most of the TX Mets fans are located in Austin based on previous posts.
Mets coming to Houston in early August.
Also down in Houston…I’m actually only here during the week (for a work project, back in NYC on the weekends), and have been looking for a decent sports bar with the MLB package to watch the Mets Mon-Wed nights — and would welcome one with other Mets fans. Any thoughts?
